Climate Change & the Environment

We are at a critical tipping point and need to quickly act to reduce our carbon emissions and preserve our environment for future generations.  Colorado is blessed with great national and state parks that need to be preserved and protected from the federal administration.

Clean & Renewable Energy

I will work hard to achieve 100% Renewable Energy for Colorado by 2040 as Governor Polis has laid out.  I’ve developed a zero-energy community in Fort Collins that has shown we can significantly reduce our energy use and produce 100% of our energy use onsite and reduce our indoor water use by over 50%. As Mayor Wade Troxell said, this is no longer theory, we've proven it in practice.

Healthcare is a Human Right

I will work to bring more affordable healthcare to all Coloradoan by eliminating health care disparities and preserving access.

High Quality Public Education

Public education is the key to opportunity and success for our children and citizens.  We need to be leaders in the nation in funding our schools, paying and respecting our teachers as professionals and promoting apprenticeship programs for both students and businesses.

Affordable Energy Efficient Housing

We need to promote innovative, healthy and sustainable building standards for affordable and workforce housing.  Colorado is behind many other states on affordable housing standards. 

Transportation

​The 2020 election made progress to fixing our infrastructure problems.  Colorado needs to leverage that.  I will work to expand free public and microtransit and good sidewalks and bike lanes.
